King Nelson and Prince Bongo of Prospect Park:
Painted by David Carl who met Nelson in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY. At the time, Nelson lived on a bench, and this painting went up for auction online. 100 percent of the proceeds were given to Nelson to help him get back on his feet. Fortunately, David successfully raised enough money with this painting to help Nelson find a job and a place to live! Thanks to everyone who participated. That’s what we call artistic philanthropy!! Or is it philanthropic art? Not sure, but either way it’s a good thing!
